Dolores went to the Salvation Army Building opening and says its great

Bob A handed over a $250 check donated by Bob and Ann Trosi for our Foundation. Apparently they were out of town and missed our casino night and wanted to help the cause.

Ray H went to his doctor (Winegar) today and saw Bob Acker there. Seems they were quite disruptive in the waiting room.

And we gave out checks to:

$5,000 TO San Diego Center for the Blind – will be used for transportation expenses

$3,000 to Salvation Army – Shopping Spree for kids back to school clothes

$2,500 to Boys and Girls Clubs of East County – toward Trent Huls Scholarship Program

$5,000 to Canine Companions for Independence – training for another canine

$2,000 to East County Transitional Living Center – client expenses

$500 to the Main Street Flag Program – work with the Boy Scouts to rise/lower flags

$10,000 to Camp Jack – toward campership expenses

$2,000 to San Diego Council on Literacy – 60% of grammar school students need books

$10,000 for Guide Dogs of the Desert. Dick Nasif will take their check to them next week.

UPCOMING PROGRAM: June 10th – Tiana Babcock-NMCSD re: Fisher Houses for the military’s wounded and injured.
