Matson ships building supplies for Loews, cars, Safeway, and others; anything in a box can ship.  Trips go from WA to Alaska (3 ports) and back again.  Brad’s schedule is 2 months on, 2 months off.  Each trip, at 5 per 2-month period, takes approx. 9 days.  Trips initiate in WA, typically hit all 3 Alaskan ports, returning to WA with mostly seafood for Safeway stores.

Interestingly, 5-10% of a crew is female.
