PP Phil Smith is doing a food drive for the holidays via Waste Management so remember to bring your canned goods/non-perishables to our meetings each week.
Sec Paul says we received a Thank You note from the SDCB for our recent donations to their fundraiser.
PP Roger Stebleton reminded us that LEO the Lion is keeping watch over the exit door so if anyone leaves the meeting early, as PP Ray Hackworth did today, LEO goes home with you. If you choose not to take LEO home you will pay a fine deemed appropriate by our Tail Twisters at the next meeting.
PDG Len inducted newbee Frank Reid into our club today. Welcome to the Funny Farm! Lion Frank was born and raised in San Diego and when he retired in 2004 from the police department he and Kathy decided to move to cooler weather in Idaho. That being said they recently returned, especially since their two daughters and 2 grandsons live here.
La Mesa Lions Club President David Shaw boasted that his club fundraiser, Italian Night Dinner and entertainment, is sold out but he brought a couple of tickets for us to auction off. 2nd Veep Chris gladly paid face value plus a little by outbidding Prez Felina by $3, proceeds to our Treasury.

BUSINESS: PP Phil Smith has handed out food ‘baskets’ to those wishing to place them in their businesses. AND our annual Christmas Party will be held on Tues, Dec 19th at 6PM Elks Lodge. There will be an ugly sweater contest, music, good food and best of all SANTA will be there.
Treas Paul Tremblay gave a report for the period ending Sept 30th. Of note we have amassed $587 to date for the City of Hope.
