They have historical videos to share and they participate in air shows, do fly-overs, handle the distribution of ashes for veterans, have booths at car shows, concerts and other community events.  The CAF has a monthly BBQ at their hangar at Gillespie Field and have a monthly event at the café at Gillespie named “Fly Days”.  Their biggest local event is “Wings Over Gillespie Air Show” each year.

The local group has recently lost a couple of big sponsors and are looking for replacement sponsors to the tune of about $40,000 to continue doing the things they do.  If you’re interested in helping out financially or be a volunteer go to www.ag1caf.org
