Helen Keller Quote by: Keith MacArthur

“When one door of happiness closes, another opens; but often we look so long at the closed door that we do not see the one which has been opened for us.”

Announcements/Good of the Order:

Don’t forget to get your dollars in the can on the table for City of Hope.

Thank you letter from a recipient of our eyeglass program.

Chris showed off his new swag chain believing (somewhere in his mind) that by wearing it he would be exempt from fines for the next 6 months.  He did however donate $100 to our foundation as he’s so happy to have the BIG new necklace.

Also Chris said there is plenty of beer and soft drinks left over from our picnic which is available for purchase

Mary Manning was here representing the Gift of Sight Committee. The committee is holding an event in Ramona on Nov 13th 8AM to 3PM and they are looking for volunteers to help out in many areas of need-usher, registration, traffic control, computers, breakroom staff, etc.  And you can learn to use auto refractors, lensometers, tonometer’s and RX writing.

The event is being held at the Mt. View Community Church 1191 Meadowlark Way.  Contact Mary at 619-547-9256 OR giftofsightlions@gmail.com OR edandmary@cox.net
