CALENDAR OF UPCOMING EVENTS:

June 25th – ECVH LC fishing at Lake Cuyamaca for Camp Jack Lions Day.  Lunch at the camp (Whispering Winds) after (see Paul W)

JULY 8TH – ECVH LC INSTALLATION OF OFFICERS, The Brig 6 PM.  Sign up asap as there is limited seating.  The cost will be subsidized by the club down to approximately $12.50 pp,

JULY 10TH – ECVH LC Board Meeting 6 PM Elks Lodge Conference Room

JULY 17th – ECV LC Foundation Board Meeting 6 PM Elks Conference Room

JULY 25th – ECVH LC Day at the Races $27 sign-ups begin June 2nd (Gary Sims)

Today’s donations were made in memory of PP Ray Hackworth to the El Cajon Valley Lions Foundation.

21 members put in amounts ranging from $5 to $100, and the total was $795.

PROGRAM:

 Elks Santas

Ken and Cathy spoke of the San Diego Santas and El Cajon Elks Lodge 1812’s upcoming Chili Dinner.  It will be held at the lodge on July 4-6 PM $15 pp.  Proceeds go to presents for children.  There will be a major auction and a silent auction, and last year they raised $17,000.  Presents are delivered on Christmas Day to the children.

Ken also collects and burns worn/tattered/faded US flags.  He is also a Freedom Guard for memorial/burial services for Veterans without family members to ensure military recognition.
