PROGRAM:

Mark Grant, SD Padres announcer

As a kid, Mark wanted to be the greatest hitter that ever lived, but alas it was not meant to be.

Mark said the Padres had everything needed to win the Championship against the Dodgers, just not the luck that comes along with the talent.  He is excited that the season begins Thursday, and it is expected that the attendance at Petco will exceed last season’s 3.5M attendees.

The next MLB Collective Bargaining Agreement is scheduled to take effect after the 2026 season.  Could be interesting!!

Mark got his nickname “Mud” from Jim ‘Mudcat’ Grant – good story associated with this.  Mark’s favorite all-time player was Ernie ‘Mr. Cub’/’Mr. Sunshine Banks.
