As you all know we are not holding meetings through month-end. This lack of meetings is both good and bad. For those who are regulated by habit it’s a bad thing plus not getting to socialize with friends and fellow Lions. The only good thing I can think of is you get more time with your family and to get those chores done that you’ve put off for days, weeks, months, perhaps even years. No excuses now – you’re stuck!
ANNOUNCEMENTS:
Our club has cancelled our trip to City of Hope luncheon/tour due to the COVID 19 pandemic.
The Student Speakers Contest has been postponed and when the date is known for the next round it will be published here.
At our Board Meeting on the 11th we moved a few dates around so please check the Calendar of Upcoming Events below for the most current information.
PDG Len was going to do the first reading of the Officer and Board Nominations for fiscal 2020-2021 but that is put on hold for the moment.
The Elks Lodge is shut down completely so until they open again, we won’t be on a regular meeting schedule.
As soon as things begin getting back to normal you will be notified either by another quasi-newsletter or by PP Bruce Booman.

GOOD CHEER:
For those of you who have the Coronavirus, the flu or a cold, best wishes for you to get well real soon.
The only member I am aware of with the darn COVID19 is Don Anthony and Robyn is pretty sure he contracted it from working in Los Angeles but sadly he gave it to her also. They are recovering at home and thankfully are not the hospital.
Thanks to PP Gary Robinson for calling those members who are a bit more susceptible to the virus to check on their well-being.
