Roll-over of this terms officers to next fiscal year will be considered at the October Board Meeting.

2nd Veep Gary Zink has tendered his resignation effective 12.31.2020.

Sec Paul is working on the Speakers Contest but it will be difficult to obtain speakers given the limited access to kiddos.

Kudos to Lion Dolores for continuing to make daily calls to members.

 HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU

SPEAKER:  Lion Jim Sing shared a story from his past.  He just received a phone call from a detective with SD PD notifying him that a case Jim worked on from 1969 was just solved.  Being a cold case file they thought Jim would be pleased, and he was.

He then shared a bit of what the case was about.  Apparently a stripper from a nightclub in San Diego was attacked and killed after work as she attempted to enter her home.  The initial suspect was the taxi driver who drove her home but when they found he was actually a candidate for the PD and they checked further, he was removed from the suspect list.  No other clues were ever found.  The solving of this cold case was attributed to the growth in science over the years.

GOOD CHEER:

Lion Dolores called PP George Hurst only to find he is recovering from last weeks surgery on his back.

IF you know of any members who are in distress, sick or in the hospital, PLEASE notify PP Yvonne so our good wishes can be conveyed to him/her.  Paris4L6@cox.net  619/838-4262
