.Ron N $25 – for his Birthday today, he turned 70

.Dave $20 – missed 3 weeks, had company for 2 weeks, got rid of a kidney stone last weekend and is not sure which was worse!

.Keith $20 – got to spend time with his son on a trip last week and Thanks to 1st VP Ron Nevels for leading the meeting last week.

.Bob S $20 – had a great trip to Reno last week

.Tom N $5 – our own PP Chris was blinded by the same type of stroke that recently took the sight of our speaker’s wife

PROGRAM:

  Bill Swank, sports historian, AND Bill Capps, former baseball player.

Bill Swank told a couple of stories about Ted Williams and said that his old home at 4121 Utah St in San Diego will be spared from a new housing development around it.  Also a story about Mae Williams, Ted’s Mom.

Bill Capps played American Legion baseball as a senior in high school.  He said it was just like Little League.  He was player of the year in 1954 within his own league.  Bill continued to share stories of his baseball team life and was fortunate to play, as a Marine, at MCRD and Ft. Ord.
