LCIF: PP Yvonne Paris: PP Michael Raney was presented with a Lions Clubs International Foundation Melvin Jones Fellowship from our club for his years as our president. President Keith read the congratulatory letter and ‘pinned’ him with his LCIF pin while PP Yvonne presented his plaque. CONGRATULATIONS Mike!!!

PROGRAM:
Dr. Julie Haden, CEO of East Co. Transitional Living Center “ECTLC”
Julie has been the CEO of ECTLC for about a year. ECTLC has provided for an annual average of 150 people. Currently, there are 540 beds available with 80 individual family rooms with 4 beds each remaining in dorm rooms for singles. They provide emergency housing and have a one-year faith-based program offering life skills, anger management, and trauma-coping skills.
ECTLC transforms lives and creates a positive social network/healthy relationships. They have several locations with a ranch in Dulzura for men and a women’s ranch in an undisclosed location. 95% of those who come in have drug addiction issues followed by mental illness & trauma.
There is a long waiting list for families but there are plenty of beds available for singles.
Funding sources are 60% from work calls, 40% from private funds such as our donation to them, and the Cities of El Cajon and Santee provide some funding also. Their annual operating budget is $5M. They have their own kitchen, where many participants learn work skills in the food industry, in addition to feeding the program participants as a whole.
