SPECIAL PROGRAM:

PP George Hurst began his practice in El Cajon in Ed Thatcher’s office around 1960.
George’s grandfather was a doctor, and a journalist wrote a book about him entitled “The Good Doctor’s Downfall”. George didn’t find out about this book until he was 40 years old.
Apparently, Grandpa had a beef with the local Sheriff and tried to kill him. He pleaded guilty by reason of insanity and, while in an asylum, just walked out and fled to CA. Upon arrival, he went to Northern CA and mined for gold.
When George was in the 3rd grade, he cut school for 2 ½ months until he was caught.
In the 6th grade, George stole some ‘personal items’ from George’s sister and her husband. He then took them to school and told his classmates these items made wonderful balloons. George’s mother took him out of state for 6 months, returning to San Diego.
George and Beverly have been married for 68 years. They have 4 children, of whom 3 are attorneys and 1 is well-adjusted (a well-adjusted nurse.)
