BUSINESS:

.Treasurer Paul T gave a report on the club’s financial health – we’re solid as a rock!

April was a great month for income as our first meeting brought in $1400 in ‘fines’ with 11 members ponying up for Exempt Badges with various and sundry reasons for doing so.  Good job Lions!

Additionally he announced that the El Cajon Valley Lions Foundation just surpassed our goal of $1 million in assets.

.Secretary Paul announced the Lions Learning Day will be held Sat June 12th 9-11:30AM venue TBD.  No registration fee.  Also a few Lions clubs will be donating food so everything is FREE.

ANNOUNCEMENTS/GOOD OF THE ORDER:

.Second Veep Carl Ruiz has been discharged from the VA Hospital in Tucson after a 3-week stay.   His blood pressure is under control and he looks healthy and happy.  Good to see you Lion Carl.

.Lion Abraham Muheize and his wife have a new baby in their family.  Since Lion Abraham has a new job he can no longer make Monday noon meetings but will rejoin us when we begin evening meetings again.

GOOD CHEER: 

Unfortunately PP Ray Ridlon’s daughter had a stroke so he and his wife will stay with her in Arizona for the time being.  Please keep her in your prayers.

Hope those missing from the meetings are not ill but if so our best wishes for you to get well real soon.

June 11th – ECVH Lions Club Flag Day Program at Johnson Elementary School

June 19th – Lions Camp Jack fund raiser at Coronado Yacht Club 5-9PM = See PP Yvonne

VP REPORTS:  NOTE:  Our Veeps are busy putting their committees together for next fiscal year so if you have an interest in serving your club/community please let them know, there are a lot of spots to fill so please step up to the plate in the name of Lionism.

1st Veep Rob Ransweiler:  No Report.  Lion Rob came in for the photo shoot and ‘POOF’ he was gone!

2nd Carl Ruiz: No Report.

3rd Veep Fabian Vereda: Will be contacting various members to fill positions under his leadership for next fiscal year. 

Membership Chair Cathy Bailes: Lt. Keith will be joining our ranks soon.

Jim Sing has retired again and mentioned he is shrinking in height – who could tell?

Paul T spent Mothers Day with his 100 year old Mom.  You’re a good son Paul.

Cathy B $5 during Board Meeting at Moreau’s last week a turkey was meandering across the lawn when Holly spotted it and bolted.  Fortunately she is well trained and returned unscathed.
