JOINT MEETING WITH OUR LEO CLUB

Opening and Pledge:  Pres. Mike Raney

HELEN KELLER Quote by: Past President Bruce Boorman

ANNOUNCEMENTS/GOOD OF THE ORDER

Each of our LEO Club members introduced themselves and told us of their plans for the future.  One of the members indicated she wants to study forensics and that brought 1st Veep Rob to his feet offering information about the El Cajon Police Department Teen Academy.  Since this program is for high school students only, Pres. Mike was discouraged from applying.

The ‘hat’ was passed, and all donations went to the El Cajon Valley LEO Club.  Total take was $627, and our Lions continue to be very generous.  LEO Club Staff Advisor Doug Davies will make sure the bounty is deposited into the club account at the school.

The LEO Club has 15 active members per Staff Advisor Doug with only a handful returning next year so the club is hoping for a growth spurt come the Fall.

It was great getting to know these young adults, each one with an interesting story.

One LEO said his favorite thing was to service pancakes at one of our breakfast fund raisers.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU

Bruce Boorman 4/11, Ray Hackworth 4/13, Len Blottin and Carter Short 4/21, Rob Ransweiler and Katie Zolezzi 4/30.
