A Big Congratulations to Lion Paul Walters, our District Student Speaker Foundation Trustee – he raised over the $7,000 minimum suggested donation goal per district in the last 5 years. Good Job Lion Paul!

PDG Mercy inducted Newbie Coleen Owens and her sponsor 2nd Veep Keith MacArthur pinned her.

GOOD CHEER: Pres. Rob’s Dad has his 3rd heart attack last week and although stable, he will undergo open heart surgery Tuesday (10/18).  Best wishes for a speedy recovery.

Carl thanked everyone who worked and supported our pancake breakfast.

Treasurer Paul T reported we made $5,657 this year.  We served the same number of breakfasts this year as last at 281 having $6,000 in tickets sales vs $5810 last year.  The 50/50 brought in $285 vs $200 last.  Outright cash donations at the event were $157 slightly higher than last year.  Our costs were up at $543 vs $416 last year.  Many thanks to Kathy Coleman at Brothers Restaurant (Moreau’s daughter) for her generous donation of eggs, pancake batter and sausage.

.Tom H $1 for a fishing trip he sponsored to MX & couldn’t go but is leaving Sat for Germany and a cruise in Europe.  ALSO $2,000 toward our food basket program to be exempt for the upcoming trip, and to include Zach’s first fine) and to include a ‘stupidity fine’ for not having the foresight to renew his Padres tickets.

.Tom N $100 for the fishing trip to MX, enjoying an SC game, the Padres win and has developed Bells Palsy (facial paralysis) which should be OK in 6 months or so.  Ed:We’ll pray it does.

.Newbie Coleen $5 saw Keith’s son in Maui AND $5 for Padres win AND $20 for her trip
