PROGRAM:

Martin Rosales, Executive Director at Whispering Winds Campgrounds in Julian

WW was started by a Catholic couple who wanted to share the camping experience with others.  The fires of 2003 destroyed WW but through major community donors the camp was rebuilt bigger and better than ever.  They continue to expand services and special activities as funds permit.

Martin presented a 2-minute video on what WW is all about and why they exist.  WW hosts specialty groups such as seniors, kids with special needs. couples retreats and retreats for businesses and other organizations.  He then presented an 8-minute on this years Lions Camp Jack experience.

Major comments from the campers include that they loved the food and sleeping on a mattress. The parents loved hearing their children’s enthusiasm about camp and a few whose kiddos want to become counselors at WW someday.
