Limited Attendance at Learning Day: Low participation; highlighted the need for improved training and motivation among members.

Board Meeting June 11th, 6:00 pm Elks Club

  • The Thursday board meeting will address unresolved issues and finalize event plans.

Installation of New Officers Sunday, June 28th, 3:00 pm

Camp Jack Fishing   July 1, July 2. Sign-up sheets at the next meeting

1st VP Grant Thiem III: Steak Fry Discussion

Fixed Scheduling Emphasized: Date changes confused; commitment to clearer communication and locked-in dates moving forward.

3rd Dyna Jones:____Gary Sims announced July 24 horse races event has 15 spots left with gates opening at noon

The first race starts at 2 pm, moved earlier from 4 pm to encourage attendance.

Yvonne offered to purchase the remaining spots to ensure full participation from La Mesa Lions.

Invitations extended to other clubs to boost turnout.______________

Lions learning day attendance was low, but it provided marketing insights

Only three members attended, including Vice President Madeline Nation, who gained useful knowledge.

The event featured breakout sessions and leadership talks, but overall engagement was limited.

The experience highlighted opportunities to improve future training and member motivation.

Paul Tremblay$5This past weekend, I spent a couple of days at my son’s house watching his two dogs. Starting tomorrow morning, I’m spending 11 days at my daughter’s house watching her dog. My other daughter will be dropping her dog off as well – let’s not plan any events on Father’s Day because it might be my only chance to actually spend time with my kids.
Gary Sims$20A notable $2,600 was won from a slot machine,
Mike Ranry$5Rusty got these flowers when our cat.  The second cat passed away this year.  So this base, she’d like to give it to someone who would like to take it. 
Van Wilsey$5I did a little weekend camping down in Chula Vista. 
Phil Smith$5I went to the Friday afternoon concert downtown El Cajon.  It’s back on Fridays.  It was awesome, packed.
