PROGRAM:

Stephanie Tutschulte, Executive Director of the Sunshine Ranch Therapeutic Riding

Their motto is: Together We Shine Brighter”.  This is a non-profit organization founded in 2012 in Lakeside.  Stephanie and 10 volunteers provide therapeutic riding & horsemanship lessons for children & adults with special needs, the minimum age being 3 years old.  The 5 horses were chosen based on personality, disposition, and love of people.

They serve 8-12 students a week.  Riding improves physical, cognitive, and social abilities.

It costs $9000 per year to support each horse for basic board & health care. Every dollar goes into the operation of the program.

For information call 619-204-2637.  Their email address is Sunshineranchriding@gmail.com and for volunteer opportunities or a new student form go to their website at SunshineRanchRiding.org
