PROGRAM:

Monica Zech, Safe Driving Educator, and former PIO with City of El Cajon.

Monica says she learned the most from the police officers when she served as the PIO.  She has adopted the motto “Stay Alert/Stay Alive”.

Of note is that it takes the brain 1.25 seconds to perceive a problem and the brain is not fully developed until age 25.

There are about 6 million crashes a year in the U.S.  Watch for red light runners and stop sign runners.  The average cost of a DUI ticket has gone from $5,000 to $20,000 plus extended stays in jail.

Her primary message is to drive as if your life depends on it.

On a personal note, Monica’s father was killed by a drunk driver in 1992 and her daughter was the victim of a drug/alcohol driver but fortunately survived.  For more info go to www.monicazech.com
