International Convention Details

Fact | The next international convention will be in Hong Kong in July of next year, with registration already open.

Fact | The current international president is A.P. Singh from India, who is six feet seven.

So you cannot miss this gentleman in a room because he’s the tallest guy in any room, and he has quite a command when he speaks.

Next steps | Members interested in riding the float during the Rose Bowl parade should contact Yvonne or the speaker.

Fact | The directory of District Lions members has been updated with a larger font and includes important dates and leadership contacts.

Fact | This year marks the first time three women of color are leading the district in San Diego and Imperial County.

Multi-Club Installation Event

Fact | The previous year’s event had over 117 attendees from five clubs, exceeding expectations.

Next steps | The speaker is to organize a multi-club installation event with 13 clubs participating, scheduled for next Saturday.

Task | The speaker is to provide a directory to members in July for outreach and event planning.

Next steps | A membership day is planned for October to invite community members to learn about the clubs.

Good of the Order:

VP Grant Theim III spoke :

I need help, so I need a volunteer to cover me for the LEOs.

You can move the meeting to whichever day of the week you need.

I cannot make it an additional day at noon to go to the meeting with the LEOs.

So, I’m looking for applicants.
