COMMUNICATIONS/ANNOUNCEMENTS:


Pres. Chris presented PP Tony with his first Melvin Jones Progressive Pin – 1 diamond. Congrats.

 
 

.PDG Len shared an idea discussed at the Board Meeting.  A new fundraiser selling 300 tickets for $50 each – winner gets $5,000 and the club gets $10,000.  The Prez will form a committee.

.PP Phil Smith says our Christmas Party will be Tues Dec 7th at 6PM.  Bring family and friends.  Santa and the Grinch will be there.  Members and one guest are paid by the club – all others $25 pp.   Phil promises an Ugly Sweater Contest will be held.

.Treas Paul T  gave a financial report from last week Board Meeting.

.1st Veep Mike Raney informed us that Lion Abraham would like to recognize our club at one of the Kings basketball games so would like to get a group of members to attend a game or two.

Lion Boni says the SA Community Center is open and they are renting areas within the facility to help cover operating costs.  They will have an after-school program soon, for free.  Boni says they are looking for a volunteer to hold a basketball clinic for the children.  Membership is required to use the fitness center but scholarships are available.  The Food Bank needs volunteers.

Nov 24th – Mother Goose Parade 1PM.  Our float will begin from El Cajon Blvd @ Lexington

Nov 30th – Holiday Lights on Main St. 2-8PM.  Volunteers needed for our booth.  Cathy B

DEC 11th – Board Meeting at Elks Lodge 6PM.  5PM dinner $14

DEC 17TH – TUESDAY MEETING – CLUB CHRISTMAS DINNER/PARTY – ELKS LODGE – 6PM

DEC 20th – Christmas Baskets – tape and fill boxes Fri 4PM at Hoban’s 215 W Lexington

DEC 21ST – 8AM-11AM – Deliver food baskets to 80 families. From Hoban’s Business  on Lexington

DEC 23RD AND DEC 30TH – DARK – NO MEETINGS

JAN 6TH – DARK – NO MEETING

JAN 7TH – FIRST-TUESDAY NIGHT MEETING 6PM

 
 

VP REPORTS:

3rd VP Carl Ruiz:  PP Van reports that our float will lead Chapter 2 and our LEO Club members will carry the chapter banner.

PP Gary R says our next visitation will be between now and March.

PP Bob Moreau says more info on our Xmas Basket program will be forthcoming.

 
 

2nd VP Gary Zink:  Eyeglass World on 2nd Street is our new Optometric partner and is already fitting youngsters will needed glasses.

HAPPY DOLLARS:  PP/TT Bob Moreau had the basket today

Chris $50 – went to the East County Posse Club Sat night and had a great time

Rob $1 – ECTLC dinner at Shadow Mt Church was a fantastic event

George – donated is 50/50 tickets to the club

Gary Z – Happy to hear PP Mark C will be our nominee for Citizen of the Year

Wally – Aztecs beat Fresno State

Cathy B $? – Although many have signed up for Holiday Lights on Main Street more volunteers are needed.  Several time slots are still open so please volunteer to help out.

Gary S $? – attended a great Celebration of Life for Duane Davis

Mark C $1 – got to pick up PP George for today’s meeting
