ANNOUNCEMENTS/GOOD OF THE ORDER:

.Mitch did a follow-up report on Camp Jack.  Fishing is the most popular event at camp, thanks to El Cajon Valley Lions for taking the reins on this activity for years.

.Sec Paul W reported there are club windbreakers for sale at a cost of $31.  All on hand were sold but orders are being taken.  See Paul W or Paul T.

.Treas Paul T reported on end-of-year financial health for fiscal 2022-2023.  Some excess funds were applied to our gift-giving account.

.IPP Rob reported we had 35 Lions and guests at our annual steak fry.  He shared his ‘suvee’ method of cooking, as he did with the steaks and chicken.  1st Veep Keith seasoned the meat with Lawry’s and pepper.

Aug 19th – Elks Law Enforcement Appreciation Night – Elks Lodge – see Christian Wille

Sept 23 – ECVH LC Annual Picnic at the Bramwell Estate – 1-5 PM

VICE PRESIDENTS REPORTS:  All Veeps are requested to confirm committee chairs under their purview.

1ST VEEP Keith McArthur:  October is our Pancake Breakfast fundraiser, and a committee needs to be formed.  If interested there will be a meeting next Monday after the club meeting, as time allows. 

2ND VEEP Ron Nevels: Progress

3RD VEEP Bob Sanchez:  Warren McKenna reported on our Padre Night.  The bad news is Friday and Saturday games are all sold out.  An alternative would be to get a box with tickets costing $125 +/-. A minimum of 10 would be required. Warren will research the possibilities.

Membership Chair Cathy Bailes:

Membership Committee seats are available, and Cathy reported we need new blood with fresh ideas.  If you are interested in serving on this committee please see Cathy asap.

.Paul T $5 on Christian’s behalf to tout the El Cajon Elks Lodge 1812 Law Enforcement Appreciation Night.  Aug 19 @ 5:30 PM for social hour, dinner at 6:30, and ceremony at 7:30.  Cost is $20 – see IPP Rob, Christian or visit the Lodge’s Secretary at the front desk.
