PROGRAM: Carl DiMaio from Reform California and Radio Talk Show Host on 600 KOGO 3-6PM
Spoke generally on the state of the State which entailed homelessness, hiway conditions, taxes and the failure of our State government to accomplish anything positive for the people.
More than half of CA schools fail on the basics – rather than teaching and stressing the ABC’s, math etc they are creating classes to teach the children how to use a condom.
Most will agree that the Republican Party needs to pick up the pace and become a force once again in CA. They need an agenda and specific actions they can take to get a stronghold again.
Medieval diseases are coming back such as typhoid where there have been cases in Los Angeles already, much of this due to homeless people.
As for the High Speed Rail System between Merced and Bakersfield the cost will be between $100 and $125 million and all the money must come from Bonds to be issued
Carl through his Reform California group is working with the Howard Jarvis Taxpayers Association on a ballot measure which will dictate that a citizens initiative such as Prop 5, can’t be altered once submitted for the ballot, that a Summary must be written by a 3rd party and any citizens initiative defeated since 2018 may be appealed .
The Nov 2020 ballot will have us voting on how Bond approvals are obtained. The current State government would want a simple 50% to pass rather than the 2/3rds vote now required.
The 2024 ballot will reflect a partial repeal of Prop 13 which would pertain to commercial/retail buildings and apartment buildings.
For more information contact Carl via ReformCalifornia.org and listen to his show on KOGO.
