PROGRAM:

PP Yvonne Paris, LCIF Coordinator – LCIF Presentation

LCIF is the charitable arm of Lions Clubs International and since 1968 LCIF has provided grant funding for local and global humanitarian efforts and is funded entirely by charitable donations from Lions, and our friends and partners.  We have awarded in excess of $ 1 billion in funding through 15,000 grants focused on four core areas:  Vision, Youth, Disaster Relief and Humanitarian Programs.

The current campaign to raise funds is Campaign 100 which began July 1, 2017, the 100th year of Lionism and will span through June 30, 2021 and seeks to raise US$300 million.

El Cajon Valley Host recently became a Model Club where our commitment of 32,500 is basically met, including $21,860 already paid.   In order to become the next level Visionary Model Club we would need to commit to donate the equivalent of an additional $69 per member over the next 2.5 years which is very do-able.

El Cajon Valley Host Lions is one of two Model Clubs in District OL6.  There are 14 Model Clubs in MD4 and 6 Visionary Model Clubs in all of MD4 (CA).

Yvonne shared the Campaign 100 Model Club recognition folio recently received at the District Melvin Jones Luncheon.  This signifies completing the Model Club fundraising goal.
