| Mike Raney | $5.00 | $5 for finally meeting Felix |
| Tom Normandie | $5.00 | I picked Felix up at the hospital. This is the state of our hospital. They’re discharging him. He can’t walk. He can’t get dressed. He had no one to pick him up, and they were discharged. I walked into the room and. And he looked up and went, hey, Tom, you’re sending me home. Can I have a ride? |
| Keith McArthur | $5.00 | I get to watch. Detective Scott McPherran clocked it in. I have a great dependent, Joe Crawford, here next to me. And I get to go to Stockton this weekend and watch my son grow up. |
| Ron Nevels | $5.00 | |
| Coleen Owens | $5.00 | Because Keith’s son called me yesterday. Grandma. He’s been stopping. Grandma, can you put me in the pool? Pool? When he’s here. Okay. Put me in the pool. I said, sorry, honey, you gotta be here for me in the pool to win. He goes, “Nobody’s gonna know. I said, yeah, we all know, but. So I did put him in the pool, but I won 25 bucks. And I was so excited until I realized I only put $25 in the pool. So I broke even. |

| Don Anthony | $5.00 | Say is a happy five because I love life and all the people in it includes you guys. |

| Tom Hoban | $20.00 | I was in court on Friday, and it went my way. |
PROGRAM: Detective Scott McPherran
Detective Scott shared detailed insights into his law enforcement background and school safety strategies to inform the club.
Scott outlined his four years as a school resource officer and his experiences handling youth crime and safety incidents in schools. He emphasized the “Run, Hide, Fight” active shooter protocol and the expanded ALICE method (Alert, Lockdown, Counter, Evacuate) as core safety strategies
Scott described successful interventions with at-risk youth, noting the importance of parental accountability in preventing youth crime
He recounted a severe case involving a stabbing and coordinated investigation leading to an attempted murder charge, illustrating the gravity of school safety challenges
The presentation highlighted the impact of proactive policing and community engagement in reducing violence and supporting youth rehabilitation.
Strategic Insights on Youth Crime Prevention and Community Policing
Scott provided perspectives on effective approaches to gang prevention and youth engagement.
Targeting parents as a key leverage point in reducing gang involvement among youth was a major theme
Success came from direct communication with parents, leading to behavioral changes in youth and reduced gang activity
The officer stressed respectful dialogue with youth while holding them accountable to create better outcomes
He noted the department’s culture of collaboration and proactive outreach as critical to addressing complex social issues
These approaches align with broader community policing strategies that emphasize prevention over punishment.
