PROGRAM:

Coach Steve Fisher retired Aztec basketball coach

Per 1st Veep Mike Raney Coach Steve’s basketball career at SDSU began in 1999.

Steve says in his first year as a coach he spoke at 87 events about the Aztecs basketball program

and he retired in April 2017.

Steve feels that transfers are the number one enemy of the basketball programs at most colleges.  He never promised his prospective players anything except the opportunity the program offered.

His favorite saying is “Give with no memory, receive and never forget!”

Aztecs are currently 10-0 and one of the best teams since he’s been around.  He does feel it’s ‘time’ for college athletes to be paid for their ‘likeness being used’ in advertising.

Steve generously gave us 4 tickets to the SDSU vs San Diego Christian game on the 18th.

UPCOMING PROGRAMS:

Jan 7th – Cindy Silver – Signs and symptoms of ovarian cancer
