VOLUNTEER SPEAKER:

Keith MacArthur

Keith shared a recent trip he was able to take with his son Grant and wife Cristi due to Grant’s success in baseball. Apparently, a U of HA scout saw Grant play a game in Irvine. After much discussion with the rep from U of HA the family decided to see for themselves what the University had to offer and see the campus and all were sold on Grant attending college there and so he has signed with them.  He did receive a partial scholarship.

Grant has been playing ball on the Toronto Blue Jays scout team in Lake Elsinore.

When Grant was in high school he played 3rd base and at the U of HA he will play 1st base.  Had he held out for the major leagues he would be a designated hitter.

Good decision Grant on furthering your education and gaining more experience. WIN-WIN
