ANNOUNCEMENTS/GOOD OF THE ORDER

.PDG Len thanked everyone for the cards of sympathy and the plant sent by the club but especially those who attended PDG Bucky’s Celebration of Life.

.The City of El Cajon is having a ‘Spook-Easy’ on Oct 29th to benefit St Madeline Sophies

.Lions Gift in Sight is this Sat 9/17 at Mt Miguel High School 7AM to 3PM

.Oct 7th is the Chambers First Friday Breakfast, and we will have an information booth

.Treasure  Paul T is preparing the new club directory and it is currently in the editing stages.  Please check your email for the rough draft and notify Paul of any errors you may find.

.Dick Nasif thanked those who visited him in the hospital, for the cards and the club plant.

.Treasure Paul T gave a brief report on the financial health of our club.

Nov 12th – ECVH LC Annual Picnic at the Moreau Ranch – Family event

VICE PRESIDENT’S REPORTS

1st Veep Carl Ruiz:  PP Chris reported that the Elks Lodge has been procured as the venue for our Annual Pancake Breakfast.  Date is October 16th.  Tickets will be available VERY SOON at our meetings, either next week or the week after.

2nd Veep Keith MacArthur: 

Bob Sanchez has agreed to be our Student Speaker Contest Chair. Topic this year will be “Social Media – Connect Us or Isolate Us?”.

3rd Veep: Ron Nevels: 

Pres. Rob reported there will be no Ma Goose Parade this year but rather a Mother Goose event wherein ‘floats’ will be stationary, and the public can move around them but “The Goose Will Be Loose”!.

RAY’S RAMBLINGS: No funnies today due to Business Meeting
