Y.A.N.A. stands for “You Are Not Alone”, a County funded service facilitated by the El Cajon PD Metro Division.

The purpose is to offer homebound individuals some comfort in knowing that someone is concerned about their well-being.  YANA volunteers and RSVPs (retired senior volunteer patrol) check on the YANA participants to ensure their needs are met.

Areas being checked during weekly visits are personal safety assurance, adequate food available, access to health care, and medications being taken as prescribed.

The program is for disabled or elderly individuals.  For more information contact Sgt Eric Thornton at 619/593-5715 or by email: YANA@elcajon.gov
