ANNOUNCEMENTS/GOOD OF THE ORDER:

.PP Yvonne reported the District Convention registration and meals prices to increase after 3/31/23 so encourage registration asap.  Additionally, very favorable room rates are good until April 14th.

.Pres. Rob shared a Thank You plaque from Singing Hills Little League for our recent sponsorship.

.April 29th is the Memorial Service for PP Tony Forchette.  It will be held at the Elks Lodge. Time TBD.

IF YOU SPONSORED A NEW MEMBER WITHIN THE PAST 4 YEARS, PLEASE ENSURE YOUR NEW MEMBER ATTENDS THIS MEETING.  ALSO, IF YOU BECAME A MEMBER WITHIN THE PAST 4 YEARS THIS IS A MEETING YOU WANT TO ATTEND SO YOU CAN LEARN ABOUT THE WHOLE OF LIONISM ON ALL LEVELS.  INFORMATION ON THE IMPORTANCE OF OUR FINANCES, OUR FOUNDATION, OUR LEO CLUB AND, WHY WE DO WHAT WE DO FOR OUR COMMUNITY.

PROGRAM:

Steve Anderson, Program Director at Crisis House

Is a Social Service Agency in East County now located in Santee?  Over 50 years serving San Diego providing crisis management for men, women, and children.  They provide emergency housing for the homeless and domestic violence victims.

 They also provide supportive services, case management and medical, psychological and legal referrals. 

Crisis House sponsors Project Homeless Connect for the homeless to access over 40 critical services.  For the children of domestic violence,

Camp Hope is available which is cost-free year-round programming for youth struggling with the effects of trauma from abuse at home.
